All Together We Can

There was a moment the other day that simply brought emotion to my heart and some tears into my eyes. As two of my students and I sang a solo during their music class, I had an overwhelming feeling of being in the right place. These two students do not use their natural voices to speak, but an augmentative communication system. As the three of us were vocalizing, we all started laughing. At that moment, there was a deep realization that the haven of inclusion and specialized instruction we have created is beautiful.

This blog is devoted to helping people. I feel fortunate to be experiencing the grace to be learning so much about augmentative and alternative communication, teaching, assistive technology, and helping people. I feel a strong need to share that knowledge and feel that a blog is a terrific way.  Content will be a mixture of downloadable resources, informational posts, and personal sharings.  This blog is dedicated to Michael, who has influenced so many.  It is dually dedicated to Rory.
