Writing to Talk

Monday Evening of the Project

Okay, so day one of the project was awesome. My students loved the note home and they loved doing it all together on a rainy day. So… I also learned a simple lesson. I have had Caroline Ramsey Musselwhite and Gretchen Hanser’s Write to Talk CD for a few months now. The lesson I took off the Intellitools Activity Exchange was from the CD! The point is that as a teacher I need structure for implementing new things. Taking steps like downloading and creating one thing per day for the exchange is just the type of thing that helps get new learning and teaching rolling.

So.. I am excited for tomorrow. We created a rainy day script as the first exchange. It is posted here on the wiki for the Language Banking Project: http://languagebanking.pbwiki.com/Scripts

The activity I pulled is: http://aex.intellitools.com/searchdetails.php?act_key=intheoceansong

It is a fun song to warm up some switch access or to use in conjunction with studying marine biology.

This project is going really well and it is only Tuesday.
