A lot of parents I spoke with just couldn't fight the system for as long as I did. They get burnt out trying to justify why they want there child/ren to get the services they are entitled to. Our goal is to give these "older" children the tools to enable them to be productive, functional young adults. With the technology available today we can achieve this. I will be forever grateful for Mayor Menino and his staff for giving my son and others to follow the chance to believe in themselves. I wish all people could be as open and giving and understanding as Mayor Menino has been. Our family and I know I speak for others will be forever grateful.
